Evolutionary Process

These images artistically depict the Core Energetics® Evolutionary Process as it shows up in our body, energy, and consciousness. In the first figure, fear and resistance as psychic tension, or blocked energy, builds-up muscle and fat as we physically and emotionally defend against or insulate ourselves from our bodily sensations and feelings - both pleasure and pain.

In the second figure, as we relax physical and psychic muscles, feel these sensations and release the energy of our stuffed emotions, creative life force starts to vibrate throughout the body and a higher consciousness - a self-knowing beyond the personality-ego begins to emerge.

Finally, as these vibrations are refined and we open deeper into the core of our true being, we melt into Source, Grace, Divine Love - our Core Divinity - and begin to live in Love - our embodied, human existence in the Oneness of Universal Consciousness.

Movement is the antidote to resistance. Yoga, martial arts, and meditative movement bring consciousness to the body and release of tension. Dancing, playing sports, walking, running, and even tasks such as house cleaning, raking leaves, etc. break down resistance and open the flow of your creative life force. This is in contrast to weight-lifting and some forms of repetitive exercise whose purpose it is to build and tone muscle. Bioenergetic exercises purposely release the energy held in the body, but in such a way that the body contains the energy, increasing vitality and consciousness.

Evolving from Defendedness to Divinity is a process that can be spontaneous, but most likely takes years. It is likely to be more successful when an individual experiences his or her own divinity or connection to Source near the beginning of the journey so that he or she is sustained through the ravines and plateaus of dark periods.

How one experiences this can be as varied as the number of people taking the journey. It may be as simple as a profound moment while taking in a magnificent sunset, a dance leading to a trance state, or a song sung in devotion. What it often requires to infuse it into one's life, is a meditation practice and possibly the presence of a spiritual teacher. This person, who, through a practice of his/her own to cultivate a divine connection, becomes a reflection of what is possible.

Eyes-opened meditation is a technique practiced by many spiritual traditions/teachers, including the mystic poet, Rumi. You can participate in such a practice with anyone, especially a loved one, but engaging in such practice with one who is awakened to a divine connection creates a resonance with the divine within yourself. There is even the possibility for the enlightened energies of an awakened person to transmit and ignite your own awakening.

Because the energies of a person can be crystallized in a photo, let's experiment. The photo below is of an American-born, teacher of Sat Yoga in an awakened state at the time the photo was taken. Click on the image and follow the instructions. The accompanying song prsents a possible experience of connecting with Divine Love.
