What is . .
. . Journey into Aliveness -
Living in Love™?
Jia-Lil™ is a life practice/way of life intended to be a balanced, interconnected, and holistic approach to awakening and transforming body, emotion, shadow, energy, mind, and spiritual consciousness. Jia-Lil offers a foundational learning program and practices to direct, create, evolve, and support such a way of life for all walks of life that resonate with it. In addition, it is a vehicle for making contact with like-minded and like-hearted people through the Sounds and Silence of Meditation Meetup and the Learning Portal on this web site, through Skypecasts, and residential retreats to create supportive environments for your practices and crucibles for your growth.
The intention behind Jia-Lil is to help all of us: evolve as women and men, families, and communities; be more effective at work; make deeper, more authentic contact within ourselves and our interactions with others; open to the sacred in all relationships; create organic self-expressions in art, music, poetry, sculpture, etc.; experience the love and joy in Universal Oneness (God/Goddess or the Divine) and for consciousness and pleasure in all life.
The choices in our lives today for teachings and practices for personal and spiritual growth can be overwhelming in their variety and numbers. Jia-Lil's purpose is to support each person's evolutionary potential through an integral, foundational program that clears and deepens each individual's path through meditation, sensory awareness, bioenergetic movement, the psychology of personality, shadow work, knowledge and integration of the energy system (chakras), alignment with divine mind, creative expression, devotion and ritual. The strategy for such a heart-centered, inner curriculum is to make it simple with minimal structure, allowing for each person's unfolding to eventually provide his or her own unique form.
It is intended to offer self-study through web-based courses and facilitated virtual classes and discussion groups (webinars / Skypecasts). The on-line approach of such material allows for the learning to more easily fit into everyone's daily routine. The Jia-Lil program will also provide for private and group face-to-face experiential learning and practice in designated locations. Present on-site locations are in the Greater Rochester Area and the Finger Lakes Region of New York.

About this web site
The vision for this web site is to be the central information distribution, learning portal, and community networking vehicle for Jia-Lil.
The Learning Portal will provide access to on-line self-study courses, downloads, and virtual classrooms. You can take a single class or as the Jia-Lil program formulates, partake in the complete program or work through your own series of classes. The vision includes the evolvement of Study/Practice maps based upon an individual's needs that will incorporate not only classes on the Jia-Lil web site, but network with other educational programs and practitioners to support your evolvement. Learning will be presented virtually and on-site, whether following a formalized program or self-directed study. In addition to courses, practices will also be supported on-line through tele- and video conferencing.
That's the vision. Presently the Learning Portal hosts Virtual SoulTOUCH Meditations. For details go to the Learning Portal.
The web site also provides a Gallery for the visual, written, and musical creations of Jia-Lil practitioners and invited artists.
The Store makes available for purchase some of the art as well as suggested items to support your life practices such as meditation items, books, music, DVD's, jewelry, clothing, etc. Suggestions are welcomed.
Links to other web sites give you quick access to more in-depth information regarding teachings, programs, teachers, etc. that influenced the formation of Jia-Lil.
About Jia-Lil Beginnings
by Linda Saxton, MFA, EdS, CET
The Jia-Lil life practice has evolved out of my own life journey. In the mid-seventies, I discovered the human potential movement and spiritual communities while longing for something that I thought missing in my marriage and feeling a need for creative expression. I never saw myself as a spiritual seeker, but simply following an invisible thread, trusting that a higher consciousness was guiding me either through others or my own inner voices.
Three events that initated my journey were the fire that a marriage counselor kindled in me for personal transformation and my first eyes-opened kundalini yoga meditation class. In that initial class, I experienced a coming home to myself and as part of that experience, I felt a vibratory radiance emanating from the core of my body generating a feeling of aliveness from the inside out for the first time in my conscious awareness. The third memorable event was the ecstasy I felt when I knelt close to the earth to take my first nature photo. I had discovered "being" in the moment and my connection with Nature.

From there, it was uphill, downhill, valleys, still pools, and white-water rapids as I meditated, attended workshops, did therapy, moved in and out of relationships, trained as a practitioner/teacher in LightBody Awakening™, Core Energetics® Evolutionary Therapy and eyes-open Kundalini Yoga meditation. There have been beautiful and wise guides along the way to mirror my potential; some perceived trolls to reflect my own shadow. All experiences, both painful and joyful, were growthful as I opened to each.
Paralleling this alternative and personal life, I was working in public education as a teacher and library media specialist in public schools for 10 years. Then, after earning graduate degrees in Instructional Technology and Computer Graphics Design I worked as a Curriculum Design Specialist, e-Learning Developer, and Multi-Media Designer in public education, non-profit organizations, and global corporations including Kodak, Canon, and AT&T for over 15 years.
At the start of this journey, I was profoundly influenced by the vision and plan of a residential school with an inner, experiential curriculum that was supported by computer technology, in its infancy at that time. The vision was set forth in a textbook "Learning to Be" and novel "Students of the Light" by Dr. John Mann, a student of Swami Rudrananda (Rudi) and my first Kundalini Yoga meditation teacher.
These were the initial seeds for the direction of my life that have been tendered and genetically infused with mine and the experiences of others and the changes in technology and human consciousness over the past 30 years. What the seeds will manifest is unknown, but it begins anew here for me and any one who resonates with this as part of their own journey, so that we might all live in the pleasure and presence of embodied Divine Love and the Light of Being.
